I have publish my site and have been updating regularly but now it seems that
something has gone arye. My site now is unaccessible due to when I publish it
last, it publish the folder and not just what was in the folder. I've tried
to pull up just the folder but each time I have had the site cleared by our
server and republish it, it will resort back to the entire folder causing
failure of course. Please, Please help as I am receiving numerous calls and
can not resolve the issue. It might be good to know that I have never work
on a webpage before so this is definitely a feat for me and need very easy
directions.

How did you publish the site, via http or FTP?

Is your home page named as required by the web server, you need to check with the web host for this,
if you don't know.

I publish via http and the home page is as required by the web server. This
site was accessable until yesterday so I'm assuming that the home page name
has nothing to do with this problem. I've been communicating with Gracenet
and they could see that the folder was being published not the files that are
in the folder. I'm not very knowedgable about Frontpage and tried several
times to correct the problem but it isn't as simple as I thought it would be.
Thanks so much for responding.

Can you provide the URL to the site?

With the your local copy of your site on in FP, right click on the top most folder (Folder View) and
make sure "Allow files to be browsed" or similar wording is enabled.

The reason you are seeing this on the server is because I have asked that the
site be cleared. I'm waiting to fix the problem on frontpage before
publishing the site again. I have tried several times and I have not been
able to publish without the entire folder. I finally asked Gracenet to clear
it one more time so that I could get some help in understanding and fixing
the problem.

Let the whole folder publish, just make sure that your home page is entitled
"index.htm", "index.html", default.htm", or "default.html" - whatever is the
required format set up by your server administrator/ISP.

I've published the entire folder 3 or 4 times and my home page is titled
"index.htm", this doesn't allow you to access the webpage. I think of it as
a folder, subfolder. I need to publish the subfolder of files. I can't
figure out what changed. It was publishing the correct files then it began
publishing the folder.

If you browse to your web folder on your computer using Windows Explorer,
What does the structure ( file path ) look like?

Example if the web folder is named MyWeb, does the MyWeb folder contain all of the files,
or is there another folder inside of MyWeb that contains the files?

Sort of like this: MyWeb\Another folder

Also, does the folder that contains the files have a blue globe on it?
