Publishing hangs, never finishes

I have tried several times to publish my movie via Windows Movie Maker, but
the publishing process hangs between 13-16% every time. The video files came
off of my digital camcorder. I am trying to publish it in "Windows Media DVD
Quality," and it says that it will take a little over 3GB of space. The movie
is 2 hours and 14 minutes long. I have not changed the location of any of the
video files, and both disk drives that I have tried publishing to have more
than enough space. I am running Vista Enterprise, and I have tried running
the Movie Maker program as an administrator for the publishing process. As a
last resort, I rebooted my machine, ran Movie Maker as an administrator, and
tried again, but obviously that did not help.

I have been researching this for the past several hours, but I can't seem to
find anything that proves helpful. Any guidance that any of you can provide
will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Your website is actually one of the ones that I looked at earlier. There is a
lot of information on there--can you narrow down what you think might be
going wrong based on the information that I have listed below? Some more
information, the machine I am using has 3GB of RAM. It couldn't possibly be a
RAM constraint, could it? I am going to try uninstalling Windows Media Player
and reinstall it now...

Movie Maker by design seems to be limited to using 2 GB of memory....

2 hrs 14 minutes could be a big complex project as my rule of thumb is to
keep projects to under 15 minutes.... but it depends on the complexity of
the projects... batches of still pix at 5 seconds each with transitions
between each is much more complex than four 1/2 hour video clips.

WMV DVD quality needs more memory to render than DV-AVI.

And not knowing if your file types are all compatible, it's too hard to
suggest anything more than I have on my site to help you explore it.
