Publishing error message. Help!

I'm trying to publish my site for the first time using Frontpage 2003 and
keep getting an error message that says "server error: cannot open for
writing". This message applies to all my pages (I tried not publishing the
pages that had the message come up to see if it was specific to one page, but
alas, not so) I spoke with my server and there is no problem on their end.
We checked to make sure the file names didn't have any strange characters or
that they were marked as read-only and all appears correct. Has anyone
encountered this before? Am I doomed?

Sounds like either a server permissions issue or can be a server space issue
