Publishing a Web Page FP2000

Guest

I have tried to publish my web but I'm receiving an error when Front Page
2000 starts to list the web page in order to upload:
" 425 Cant' Build Data Connection: Connection refused"
I can't figured it out.
The FTP server validates the ID/Pwd; as a matter of fact, I used another FTP
program to piblish my web pages and it works. Therefore, the problem relies
in Front Page 2000.
Any Suggestions--
Thanks,
Alex

Have you contacted your web host?

Does the remote server have the FP extensions? If yes, you have most likely corrupted them by using
a FTP application to upload, and they will need to be re-installed by the web host.

If the remote server doesn't have the FP extensions, then you may need to use a FTP application as
FP can not connected with all the different FTP servers.

If the remote server has the FP extensions, being able to connect via FTP with a login ID via FTP
has no bearing, on connecting via FP, other than the server is available, as the host must set up
both the http and FTP servers to use the same login IDs.
