Publish to a virtual directory

Is it possible to publish to a virtual directory? I need
IIS to point to a virtual directory so that I can use
Index server successfully. How do I then publish to this
virtual directory?

Yes, although I seem to recall there are problems if the
virtual directory isn't also physical. Like, if "/" is
c:\InetPub\wwwroot, FrontPage may not like it if /myweb/
is d:\elsewhere\myweb.

Really? I never heard of this requirement.

You make the root of the virtual directory the root of a
FrontPage-based Web site.
