Publish Producer projects to sharepoint sites using membership aut

I am trying to Publish a Producer project to a sharepoint site that is using
Membership for authentication and getting the message:

The presentation connot be published to the address "myaddress" make sure
the address is valid and that your computer is connected to the network.

We are publishing OK on sites that use ActiveDirectory authentication but
when we try to publish on sites using membership it fails. We even changed
the site from membership to AD and that fixed it. It seems there is some more
we need to know about the membership sites. We even tryed the user name and
password boxes in the publishing wizard with no luck.

I haven't used this publishing strategy so I can't offer experience based
advice -- it is possible that what you are trying just doesn't work.

The publish to server feature is WebDAV based -- the Sharepoint server may
not be offering that transfer option using the membership based
authentication.

I don't think Sharepoint is different from other web servers (it is based
on IIS afaik). I am not sure there are any explicit instructions but
generally unless you are using a media server for media, the procedure is
to publish to the local hard disk, then copy the files to the appropriate
structure on the web server retaining the file/directory hierarchy (use of
a media server requires some additional steps -- modifying the aspx file to
point to the media server instead of the http server at a minimum).

If you are asking about the "copy the files to the appropriate structure.."
part of the process -- I don't know enough about Sharepoint to offer
specific information there but I am guessing there is a mechanism to
upload/copy a set of files and retain the file/directory hierarchy,

Brian,
Thank you for your reply. I will just look at the location of files and the
..aspx files when I deploy the the AD Sharepoint sites and learn how to
manually deploy to the membership sites. I do want to use Media Server. The
Producer will deploy to Media Server so I will reverse engineer that also.

Thank you,
