pst not a personal folders file

Hello,

I copied my .pst file on to a removable media (DVD) before completely
re-installing WXP and Office 2003.

Now, when I try to have Outlook 2003 open this .pst file, it says that
"[mypstfile].pst is not a personal folders file."

It is not "read-only" and it has kept its original size (400MB).

I tried to run scanpst.exe on it, but it gave me the same message.

Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance.

Thank you Andreas but the article does not address my problem.
There are people who posted the same question as me under the article itself
but there was no answer to these questions either.
