Hi all,

I've recently noticed a problem in my outlook.pst file, when I choos
the properties of the personal folders and check the folder size, th
total file size (including subtitles) is 10MB, but when I check th
outlook.pst on my HDD, the file size is 35MB.

I've noticed that outlook is getting slower day after day.
anyone can help please?

thnx

Joh

What version of Outlook? If it is XP, you may need to compact the folder.

Hi,

Yes it is XP, how can I compress the folder?
and why?
in outlook it's 10MB but on the HDD is 32MB, do you mean I have t
compress the file itself?

thank you for your reply :)

Joh

In 2000, you right click on "Outlook Today". Then select "properties".
On the properties page select advance. Compact is located there i
2000.

I would make a backup of the .PST file just in case
