Searching for .pst file

T

The Hun

Using Windows XP and OL2002

My Outlook.pst file is located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\Hun\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft
\Outlook\Outlook.pst

PROBLEM # 1
But when I do a Search of Local Disk (C:) for *.pst, it only
returns .pst files in this path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Hun\My Documents\...(then in the folders
where I've exported various .pst files from custom Outlook folders)

PROBLEM # 2
A search of Local Disk (C:) for "Outlook" returns no .pst files at
all.

QUESTION
1. Does anyone know why a Search won't find the main Outlook.pst
file?
2. How can I find the main Outlook.pst file by doing a Search?

Thanks,

pst files are hidden files. You need to enable hidden files in your search.

The main outlook data file is, usually, outlook.pst, if you create a new pst
by default it will be named outlook1.pst, and so on
You have to search to included hidden for *.pst
