pst file problem

Outlook 2002
I had to reinstall Windows and all my apps, so now, I open Outlook and
don't have my messages/contacts/appointments. So I do a quick search
on 'move pst file' and follow the instructions. Now when I open
Outlook, it appears to be using the old pst file, but none of my data
is present. What am I doing wrong?

You are not posting any relevant information. Just configure your Outlook
profile to use your previous PST file. I assume you backed it up carefully
before you trashed your system.

Do not move or import the file. Use File, Open outlook data file to use your
old pst file.

Additionally, place your pst file in a new folder under My Documents called
My Pst. then follow the directions for using the pst file from this
location. Now when you do a backup of your My Documents folder, you have
backed up your pst also.
