PST file missing following Cut/Past to network share

Following what appeared to be a successful move of a user pst file I opened
Outlook to reconfigure. The file was not there not on the network share not
in the users default path. So no big deal I cranked up my trusty file
recovery tools while logged in as domain admin and in safe mode. Ran file
recovery found allot of files just not the on that I’m looking for. Ok so now
I am a little freaked I have never had this problem before. Why is that I
can’t recover this file? The file was last a 539mb Outlook 2003 pst.

Never cut and paste. Always copy, verify then delete.
