PST File Lost?

After running the Scanpst.exe file (found 2 errors) and a Disk Defrag I
still get the error with PST run the ScanPST.exe. message.

Based on a few other posts it appears that I'm out of luck ... Is there any
way to recover the data on that .pst file? How do i know it's the correct
one? It appears to be smaller than before.

I know the rule of backing up ... as my luck would have it, the day I was
doing that is when this occured.
