Using xp home sp2 and fully windowsupdated with NAV2006. I was deleting some
'word' files and later found out that kb does not response. In the Device
Manager the kb shows an exclamation mark.
In safe mode, I uninstalled all the mouse/kb or hidden devices (both ps2)
and reboot, still cannot use the kb. It again shows the exclamation mark.

Looking into the details , there is this message "windows cannot start this
hardware because the configuration infomation (in the registry) is incomplete
or damage (code 19).".

Also boot up without the kb attached, but the pc also shows that it detected
the kb///.
It also does not work with a new kb. How can I resolve this issue Thanks

The easiest way to repair is to do a system restore in the safe mode.
Just go back to a time when you know things were working and take note
of any programs that were installed after the restore point so you can
re-install them.

First tried using usb kb and it didnt work. Then used the System Restore and
discovered that I cannot restored to any of the points created in 2006. There
will be a message that the system is not fully restored. How can I go back to
the restore points created in Dec 2005?
