I have a number of clustered server 2003 terminal servers
on which the proxy server setting is ignored for some
users and not others. I have checked that it is not a
security setting by ensuring a new user has the same
rights as the people that are working or even domain
admin rights. I have checked that the machine can make
physical connection to the proxy server by running a
telnet session on port 8080 and all is ok. If the same
user runs a TS session to another machine (and all my
users have roaming terminal services profiles) the proxy
server settings are used. I have even enforced the use of
the proxy server setting using a local group policy on
the affected machines, but with no effect.
Anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
Thanks
