proxy server

In order to access the internet at work, I need to configure my browser to
use a proxy server. Is there anyway to configure a proxy server in Outlook?
I cannot see what I put the server address, username and password, in the
email accounts section.

I am at a clients site and want to access my email.

Thanks, Mike.

You don't seem to make much sense on some of this but I
will try to follow.
If you are at a clients sight and need to use a proxy
server to hit the net then you need there proxy settings
in internet options- internet setting- connections and
then in LAN settings.
If you connecting too your Email/Exchange server you will
have to have some VPN connection to do so.
I would think you would be able to access OWA to get your
mail the easiest. Depends on what your company has set up!

I have EI setup how your discribed, using my clients proxy server settings
and I can hit the web. But, I need to put those same setting into Outlook,
in order to access my mail. But, I can't see where I can load proxy server
settings in Outlook. A VPN is not an option.

you don't load Outlook with a proxy settings
you load HTTP,Secure,FTP,Gopher and Socks protocols with
Proxy settings.
Now that you get to the internet you need to get to your
Exchange server (not the clients you are working for). You
have that ability now. What you have at your work
(firewall, routers, exchange server) are the paths you
have to take to get to your Outlook. If a VPN is not an
option Outlook Web Access is the next best way to get your
mail. Otherwise from work forward your email to a ISP like
Yahoo or bellsouth or earthlink thats one way to mail
remotely into your outlook.
