Proxy Server and Outlook Live

Is there a way to configure Outlook Live to run through a proxy server? I
have setup my internet options configuration to use the proxy server and IE
works fine. However I cannot get Outllook (with the connector) to
communicate with the Hotmail server. Thanks.

It will use the settings from what you have configured in Control Panel->
Internet Options.

What error message do you get?

The Outlook Connector toolbar says: "(e-mail address removed): Could not sign in".

When I am at home connected to my wireless router which is connected to my
cable modem I have no problem. However , here at the office I get that
error. That is with the Internet Options connection setup to use the proxy
server. I know that setup is working because IE can connect without issue.

I must be missing something??? Thanks.

I just tried connecting using Outlook Express instead and I am getting the
error "Proxy authentication required". I am not loged into the domain here
at the office simply connected to their network. Perhaps that is the issue?

Sounds like their proxy server requires authentication (for specific
traffic) indeed.

How would that authentication be performed in Outlook and/or Outlook Express?
In IE, the first time you launch the browser after changing to this proxy
server you got a standard domain login box and then you can access the
interent without a problem. However, Outlook nor Outlook Express do not
supply a login.

Just to clarify what I wrote below...my laptop is not logged into the domain
however I access net work drives and the Proxy server by logging in to those
machines as needed.

Thanks
