Hi,

i have a file folder on my laptop that i bring to work every day. this is a
contract job and there are a bunch of sensitive competitors info on my
system. because i work in a visual medium, many people are at my computer
looking at various designs, etc. and i don't want anyone to be able to
access a particular folder.

i went to the folder, properties, make folder private... but it asks me to
create a user password. i don't want to create a login password for the
entire system that i'd have to login into at startup, i just want you to
have to enter a password to enter this ONE folder. i'll be done this
contract in 3 months, and i'd like to easily get things back to normal.
thoughts?

thanks

f

Right click> New> Compressed Folder (Zipped) In the folder
click on File choose Add Password. Works like a champ. It
is easy to add and remove the password.

YEP!

thank you!

actually, it didn't work. i didn't reboot it, but it would allow me access,
which isn't what i want. lots of people sit at my computer. i want to be
able to have a password so that every time someone tries to access the
folder, they have to enter the password.
