proofing tools/MUI for Office 2007?

Hello All,

are there proofing tools/MUI for Office 2007? In fact, I only need
spell-checker for several national languages.

The closest thing I could find is:
"Microsoft Office Multi-Language Pack to deploy individual Proofing Tools /
Language Packs for the 2007 Microsoft Office system / Office Language Pack
document proofing tools"

But that installs the national language "interface" in all Office programs,
not only the spell-checker. And what if I wanted to install several
spell-check tools on one computer (for our 4-languages support group)? Do I
really need to install all 4 national Language Packs, only to get the 4
spell-checkers?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Zoran

You can customize the installation to only install the proofing tools and
not the localized UI.

Hi Roady,

thanx for your quick reply!

Is there a way to make an "automatic install", so it just installs proofing
tools without user input?

Is there an administrative install of Office 2007? Can one integrate those
proofing tools in a such administrative install?

Thanx in advance!

There is no need to do a separate administrative installation for Office
2007; simply copy the contents of the CD/DVD to your installation point.
To customize your installation your run setup with the /admin switch
(doesn't work on retail or OEM editions of Office for obvious reasons o
course).

Additional languages can be added by copying over the localized folder
structure to your installation source. By default it will only install the
language that the OS is configured to use but you can override this by
modifying the config.xml file.

Thanx again for your quick reply - I will try the /admin option....

Our problem is that we are an international company having International
English as OS language, but the local folk would like to have their local
language spell-checker, maybe several of them, if they are speaking and
doing support in several languages. But for internal support reasons, all
the OS and applications should be in English.

I would like to customize the installation in a way that the
installation-files for the different language's spell-checker are i.e. in
different installation maps, and then I just start the setup.exe files for
the spell-checker I want to install...

Regards, Zoran
