Prompt for document properties

I know you can prompt to have the properties box pop up when saving a new
document in word (2002)...(tools>options>save>prompt for document
properties). However, what if i'm "saving as" to a new document name? It
appears that the new doc takes it's properties from the old one with it, so
the properties box then doesn't pop up automatically. Is there a way around
this besides going in and opening it up again manually?

Not really. I put a Properties button on my Standard toolbar to facilitate
access. Also, note that if you use the New | From existing document...
option in the New Document task pane, then you will be prompted for document
properties.
