Sirs, I completed a large membership list
using "wordpad" and I am looking for ways and means to
have this list in alphabetical order. Please advise John D

Get a database program, but I'm afraid you'll not find an
easy way to import a WordPad file into a database.

Wordpad doesn't have any sorting ability. It's a "freeby" word processor.

Using existing tools that you have on your computer, you could save the
list to a text via, then use the command "sort" to sort the list.

At the command prompt, issue the command

sort /?

to see the instructions.

Altnernatively, buy a fully funcional word processor, spreadsheet, or
database program. Or consider Open Office for word processing and
spreadsheet (which is free).

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
