Programs starting at Startup

I have a bunch of programs that msconfig tells me I am running at startup
that I don't know if they need to. Stuff like wupdater, NvCpl, isuspmx,
ussch, Reader_sl, qttask, ccApp, ctfmon, and others.

Can anyone recommend a good, trustworthy site to determine what I need to
run at startup? I would like to speed up the computer of course, and figure
this is a good way to start, but I don't want to throw a monkey wrench into
Windows.

Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving.

You can start by unchecking everything. Windows will recheck what it needs
to run at startup. After doing this and rebooting, just make sure your
anti-virus and any other security programs are running. Anything else you
find later you need at startup can be rechecked, but that will be a
prefference issue and not a necessity issue.
