Programs randomly lose settings

Some of my programs randomly lose their licensing info and i need to reenter
the keys - it seems to happen if i leave my computer on and dont use it for
a few hours - any ideas?

Don't quite understand what the problem is. Can you give us an specific
example?

for example - I have an instant messenger plug-in that logs my ims. If I
leave my computer alone for a few hours and start up AIM then the dialog for
the plug-in pops up asking for me to enter my license info.

also I have an ssh program. When I launch that and try to connect it says my
license does not support ssh. Which it does cuz it worked fine before. So I
have to completely remove and reinstall and enter the license info.

If it was just one program doing this I would say it was the program - but
this appears to be something else.

I'm not familiar with instan message, but am familar with ssh programs.
Exactly what program are you using?

Im using vandyke secure crt 4.0
I think its more then a vendor issue because more than 1 program is doing
the same thing
