Programs quit loading before done

I must have corrupted something. All of a sudden my NAV
2003 autoprotect just shut off and I could not get it to
work. I tried to reload, but it could not remove the old
version. I manually unistalled all of my norton stuff
and now I cant get it to reload. A few seconds into the
install, it just quits with no messages or anything. I
had a message about a virtual device driver in the reg
that was bad and I fixed that I think. NAV or NSW will
start to install for a few seconds then just stop. If I
try to install again, it says I already have a version
installed, and then just quits, but it is nowhere to be
found to uninstall it. Anybody have any Ideas.
