Programs menue

Previously when opening my programs menu it only showed the last few - I
think - of the programs that had been used, and there were down pointers
which if you hovered over the rest of the menu opened up.

This facility seems to have disappeared and I am presented when opening up
my Programs ALL of the programs on my computer which fills two columns and
is very hard on the eye to find what you are looking for.

How can I get back - (have I done something wrong ?) - to the previous
state.

Hi Maurice

Right click the Start button, select Properties>Customise - then scroll down the list and enable 'Use Personalised Menus'.
