The programs in my PC do not all fit in "Programs" menu, by clicking on
"Start-Programs" the menu opens only with 3 columns and 89 items and it is
not possible to scroll forward so I can't see the other programs
is there a solution?

Increase the resolution of the screen.

this is not a solution
If it is not foreseen to scroll the menu the only way can be to group the
programs

il barbi,
Categorize the shortcuts into sub-folders.
For <current-user> shortcuts, right-click [Start] > Explore
For <All-user> shortcuts, right-click [Start] > Explore All Users
Create sub-folders with meaningful category names.
Cut + paste shortcuts.

I make folders like --sound-- or --internet-- and --photo--
The "--" around the title just sorts them at the top above accessories
and also makes me realize that these are my folders rather than OS
folders.
The internet gets a bit long, and some of the categories are a bit in
the gray area but you know your PC, make up something. MISC and JUNK
even work good.

Specifically for me, I also have a --games-- folder and a
C:\programs\games folder on the drive with a bunch of games that don't
require installation. So when backup copies the C: folder and the menu
folders with --'s then, on restore, instantly I've got all those program
menus rebuilt. All I have to do after a reload is drop off the menu
entires the installations put on the normal menu.

Think I have the same problem with OP so I hope you dont mind I jump in. My
problem: Start>All programs> and it give me 3 columns that are full of
listing and it does not show some of the games etc that were installed in the
pc. There is the 4th column, so how can we make it appear? Thanks and my
apology for popping in.

Most people don't realize that the menu is really a folder on your PC.
You can drag and drop and edit the menu in Explorer just like any other
folder. Make subfolders, consolidate etc.
Usually:
C:\documents and settings\<user>\start menu\programs
or
C:\documents and settings\all users\start menu\programs

Open either of those (or both) in explorer and all the programs are
there, I don't care if you have 5000 programs. Note that there may be
two "adobe" folders in 'all users' as well as every user on the system.
This is done by Windows. The programs available to all users are in
the "all users" (duh!) and the programs that an individual installed
just for them were put in each users\start menu\programs folder.

So you may have to play a lot.

I am the only user on my system and for simplicity I move the all users
stuff into my folders. This way my backup program that backs up my
"menu" gets all my program shortcuts. In a fatal crash I can look at
the one folder and remind myself what I had loaded. Yes!! it doesn't
backup the programs, just the links, but that's all I need.
