Hello,

I would like to start my broadband wireless and my VPN software prior
to entering my windows logon so that I can connect to my corporate
network and have all my network settings applied (drive mappings,
etc.). I tried entering the path to those programs in HKLM\Software
\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and it doesn't seem to work. I
even tried creating a scheduled task to start on system startup but
that didn't work either. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Cheers,
Gary Hampson

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run is only processed after a
user actually logs on.

Your VPN software should have its own option to enable it to run at logon.
What wireless utility are running? In XP there's no real reason for it. XP
supports Wireless Zero Configuration, natively. If you use that instead of
some 3rd party utility, your wireless connection will be available before
you logon, so you can log into your VPN server before logging into Windows.
