Program Start Prob-help!

I have just bought a Nikon digital camera and it came with PictureProject
software. First time I installed it it was working ok but a day later
whenever I try to open it I get one of those annoying Microsoft messages
saying the program has encountered a problem and needs to close. Nikon say
it's a system problem especially as it works on my other PC with Windows 98.
What's going on? I can't find anything that's changed overnight to affect it
and it's really frustrating.

Was there a reboot between the time it worked and stopped ?
Programs/Applications have all kinds of dependencies, (Calls
to Dlls....) A good practice is anytime you install a new program
go to the vendor's web site and check for updates. Programs are
sometimes keyed to certain levels of the OS.

There are coding differences between the 9X/ME and NT/2000
/XP OS'es. You really can't use the "Runs on 98" to indict XP as
the cause of the program fault.
