Program Not Responding messages

Program Not Responding posted after each use of STATUS
button on State Tax e-filing form.

Program Not Responding a common message DURING use of
WordPerfect 10 and 8.

Same message in use of My Computer to check capacity of
hard drives.

etc.

Any suggestions?
