Program no longer runs

I just upgraded to XP-Pro. At first everything worked fine but just
recently, when want to run the program "VISIO" an hourglass shows for a
second or two (like the program is loading) but then disappears. Control
comes back to me (system does not freeze) but the program does not run.

In the past, this always ran the program with no problems. I rebooted the
system and the results are the same. Restoring the system to past setting
does not help.

I have been running McAfee and have been good at keeping updated DAT files
so I do not believe a virus is work. I also ran a complete scan and came up
clean.

As far as I know, this is the only program having this problem but I may
have not yet tried all programs yet.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Try re-installing Visio if it's the only problem program
you have.

Yep, tried that with the same results. I also installed it on my other
computer running xp-pro and it works fine on that system.

This is weird.
