Program folder opens automatically

Have got a new desktop with XP, which has its programme files in
c:\program files\ and its system in c:\windows. Am now trying to copy
over my old Win2k to the same drive for dual boot, and this is a
Swedish version with its programmes in C:\program\ and system in
C:\winnt

When booting XP the windows explorer opens C:\program\automatically.
The only way I have found to stop this is to delete the C:\program\
directory, which defeats my purpose.

Is there any other way to stop it, hacking the registry?

Two things.

1. WinXP problems are addressed in microsoft.public.win2000.general
and
2. You need to make another partition to "dual boot" two versions of NT.
