Program fails to run

I'm running Windows XP Pro, and when I install a program, it appears to have
installed correctly, and yet when I double click the icon, nothing happens.
Reinstalling doesn't help and the company I got the software from is
clueless. Help?

You're not giving us any clues either!
- What is the name of the program?
- Does this happen to all newly installed programs?
- Can you run the program when logged on as administrator?
