Profiles - Desktop Icons

A

\a:\\\

On my XP Pro pc, I've have an admin profile for myself and two limited
accounts for my kids. I installed virtual drive and then installed all of
their programs so that they work without the CDs. When I did the install, I
did it under my admin id. I then used windows explorer and copied all the
desktop icons in my desktop folder to their desktop folders.

When the kids log on with their id and try to access the problems, they
often get the message insert original CD. I then changed their accouts to
Admin. I still get the same problem, if they keep trying to click the
icons, it will eventually let them in.

Any thoughts on how to fix this problem.

Thank you.

Hi,

Try installing Virtual Drive while logged into each of thier profiles. To do
this in a limited account, right-click the setup file and use "run as" and
enter the admin name and password. Install it to the same program folder as
it is already in.
