Desktop Icons XP Prof SP2

Hi,

OS is XP Prof SP2
I have an issue that a user's desktop icons have disapeared from the their
desktop. The issue persists even after a reboot. The user does not have
admin rights on the pc. Logging in as admin and checking the users profile,
the icons are still present in the 'Desktop' folder. Anyone any ideas?

Have you tried right clicking the desktop and checking "arrange icons
by"-->"show desktop icons"?
