I have a small server running Windows 2000 Pro, with a UPS and a
backup-to-DVD-burner application. It all runs flawlessly when logged in as
the administrator. But when I log in under any other profile, required
processes stop working!
Problem 1:
However, when I log in as the backup operator, the Backup Operator, (to let
one user come in and do backups) the application locks down the DVD burner,
so it will only use the native driver to burn "directly" to the application.
Then, when I try to use this, it gives an error message "not enough room on
the disk." Is it trying to use a native CD burning driver?
Problem 2:
When I log in on the 3rd profile ("PrintJob"), where we like to leave it in
my absence, so users can resolve print job errors with out having
adinistrative priveledges, Problem also happens), also the UPS client
(communicates with the UPS) doesn't load!!!!
How can I resovle these problems, so the users can burn their backups, and
enjoy the benefits of a UPS - without Administrative priviledges!
