I just noticed that my profile is over 1 GB, which seems excessive. Any
ideas how it could have gotten so big, and if their is anything I can do to
make it smaller?

Your profile consists of lots of subdirectories with subdirectories with
subdirectories with subdirectories, etc. Step 1 would be to find out what
exact data is taking up all the space. Is it your temp directory? Your
application data directory? Drill down to find the most-offending directory
so that you/we can accurately assess the situation.

Check your My Documents folder, Temp Internet Files, and if you use Outlook
for e-mail see where your address book(s) and Personal Folders are being
saved.

Ray, thanks for the quick response. What should I drill down through, My
Documents or some other folder structure?

C:\Documents and Settings\[yourUsername] in a default W2K setup, anyway.

Before doing this, you should turn off file hiding in Windows Explorer. (
Tools--Folder Options--View--Show hidden files and folders.
)

Here is a list of directories in C:\Documents and Settings\rcostanzo on my
computer:
Application Data
Cookies
Desktop
Favorites
Local Settings
My Documents
NetHood
PrintHood
Recent
SendTo
Start Menu
Templates
