Profile 1 or 2?

Supposedly out of nowhere, my Mother's computer started asking her to
choose Profile 1 or Profile 2 upon startup. She does not know what
this is or how it came to be. Can anyone direct me to some information
for her on why this might be happening? I can't imagine why she would
have 2 profiles on her computer, but then again, I don't really even
know what an XP profile is.

I have looked further at this and can not understand why she would
suddenly have two hardware profiles on her desktop computer. But then
again, the computer itself is really not well maintained at all. I
guess this is just the starting point for trying to get it cleaned up a
bit. Both profiles seem to work fine and actually look like
duplicates. I guess I'll chance deleting the second one.
 
Actually you can delete both as Windows can create a default one
automatically. I don't have any profile and I am the most careful guy
who maintains the system religiously!!!
