I have just bought a new system and i went to install my
copy of windows xp home edition but when it asked me for
my product key i couldnt find the wallet with the key on
the back i think it went to the person who bought my other
p.c. but they said it never i was just wondering if or how
i obtain a new one or do i have to purchase xp again any
help would be most gratefull

You need to contact your PC manufacturer for assistance.
They may be able to provide you with the Product key for
the OEM version of Windows XP shipped with your system.
