product key exeeded!

hi, ive ran into some difficulty activating my copy of windows, i have
activated it twice already after formatting my HD twice because of trojans
and spyware, now all i am getting is this message

"according to our records the number of times you can activate windows with
this product key has been exeeded, please enter another product key and click
retry. The 25 digit product key should be located on the back of the windows
xp folder on a sticker which looks similar to this

customer service representative or visit the MICROSOFT ACTIVATION ASSISTANCE
WEB SITE for information of how to get additional keys, for a contact number
in your area click TELEPHONE

so what do i do, i have purchased this copy of windows xp (upgrade) legit
and now i cant use it?

You will need to phone to activate windows. Theres a limit to how many times
you can activate windows within 90 days, cant remember the limit, but you
have exceeded it.
Cant remember the exact the wording, but when you go to activate choose
'Activate over the phone' instead of internet. Just follow the
instructions, have a pen and large bit of paper ready.

Choose the option to activate by phone.
Call the displayed number to Microsoft, done in about 5 minutes.
There will be no cost for activation and/or the Product Key.

Do exactly what it tells you to do - Just activate by telephone.
The wizard will give you the correct number for you country.

I've not heard of that! As long as there were not any major changes to the hardware system, they activate over the net as many times as they please without a call.
