product key but no product

Recently purchased a Compaq laptop from a reseller (off lease) and
it comes with 2000 Pro installed. I would like to wipe clean and
partition the hard drive and reload Windows. But the problem is the
computer only comes with a restore disk. One partition, programs I
dont need, etc...The product key is attached to the bottom of the laptop
so I have a product key but not a usable Installation CD. Any ideas
on where to get a Win 2000 disk but not necessarily one with a
product key? Thanks in advance.

If you can get a copy of windows 2000 somewhere u can

use that cd and key. You have a legit license so does not
matter if u use another copy. I run into this alot on
some of my networks. I use ghost to restore system which
means I am using the same key on basically all copies.
The thing is I have the proper amount of lisences for
each box.
