Ive had my computer for about 5 years and its allbeen fine. i turn it on
today and it says my windows is not geniune!! so what do i do, i think a
virus has brought this on as my system restore won`t work either now, "it has
been turned off". My norton antivirus has also been switched off, not by me
by the computer. Any suggestions?? pleazse help ill be much obliged!
 
If your software is not genuine, well cant be much of assistance. With
windows updates its quite possible thats why you are reciving that
message. But if your version of windows is genuine do you have any
antiviurs, that is working that you can use to scan your computer?

There is some Genuine advantage tool FAQ's (that is what is used to
ensure you have a legit version of windws)

There is a new WGA update released today on Windows Update and you are
experiencing notifications from this update when the tool detects a
non-Legit OS.
