Processor Upgrade - IBM R32 Laptop

Hello All,

I currently have an IBM R32 laptop and I wish to upgrade the processor.
Is there any System command that could tell me the exact specifications
of my processor, i.e. along the lines of dxdiag.

I would like to upgrade my processor, I am asking for this information
so that I do not purchase the wrong type for my machine. I would be
carrying out the upgrade myself.

Any advice you can offer is much appreciated.

You'll have to contact IBM support and ask them if
upgrading your ThinkPad's processor is even supported.
With many notebooks, the CPU is soldered or affixed to
the mainboard, so that upgrading is not possible.

Hi,

I seriously doubt that it's possible to upgrade a cpu in a laptop. Most if not all of the
motherboard components are soldered on. I would suggest you check with IBM before making
a purchase.

Download CPU-Z from CPUID to retrieve CPU information.
