Procedure entry point error when starting Business Vision 32

When I start Business vision32 on windows 2000 profesional
I get the following error.

"The procedure entry point thunkconnect32 could not be
located in the dynamic link library kernal32.dll"

According to the following MS Knowledge base article
application is too old to run on win2k pro. But vendor
(Business vision) says it is compatible with win2k.

I suspect there is some entry or registry setting on win2k
causing this problem.
