have installed, but maybe 2000 pro.s drivers? i did
already contact averatec and they said that 2000 should
have no problems with my notebook. but i have this
problem. it isnt my disk, and it isnt something i am
trying to install. i have fdisked several times and even

If you have only in-box drivers installed, and you machine cannot boot, I
would seriously suspect the hardware.
But, to make sure there isn't anything wrong with your software:
- Boot to Recovery Console and run chkdsk /r
- Boot to Windows and run SFC /SCANNOW
- Troubleshoot with you antivirus software disabled
