Problems with Zone Alarm update 5.590.015

When I upgrade from v4.5.594 to 5.590.015, I am unable to download updates
to my etrust antivirus program. Has anyone had a similar problem?
 
Many. many comments in various newsgroups about problems with that version of ZA. Most answers are to NOT install it. I for one went back to 4.5.594

I have been in touch with Zone Alarm for similar
problems - cuts me right off and shuts all my network
down. They are aware of the problems and say its a
conflict between the new Zone Alarm 5 and Symantec - It
affects some but by no means everyone using Norton or
other Symantec products.

I am waiting for them to get back to me - they are
researching the problem now. One thing they do suggest
in the meantime is to do a clean uninstall of Zone Alarm
5 and go back to 4.5 for the time being.
