Problems with windows XP loading

Hello all,
I have a problem with my system. I came home from work and
found my PC powered off. I powered her back on. she loaded
the normal boot screens and them started to load windows
XP.
At this point it stop and said that the system had shut
down abnormaly. and I got the list of Safe mode, Safe mode
with network, safe mode with DOS prompt, and Normal mode.
I tried normal first. it then would start loading again
and then the system rebooted and came up to the same
screen again. so I took the Safe mode. this did not work
either. System rebooted again. but each time would get the
same error and reboot. I tried all the options and still
was not able to get the system to load. Any ideas? Not
sure I had a power loss only because all the appliances in
the house still had the current time and wern't flashing
the 00:00 or PF. Any help would be apprietiated. Thanks

Henry, it looks like your WinXP decided to retire. Best thing is a
Repair Install if you have the WinXP cd.
