Problems with Windows Update

I had my computer set to accept automatic updates and all
was working for many months. Now, I can't get the update
function to work. Even when I go to the update site, it
does not perform a scan of my computer. Any suggestions?

tonight I found out that my updates say "failed". Help?

upgrade "downloads" fine, it just does not "install".

w32.blaster.worm
which 'stops your ms auto updates' - just read this
closely then proceed
