Problems with Windows Media

I am having a problem playing a movie on windows media player, its says i
encounterd a error and has to close. What can i do. Before that though it
would pop out it can not play because it is missing a dvd decoder so i went
and i pay for the dvd decoder pack through roxio called sonic cineplayer and
still does not work. please help

You should post to the appropriate NG like MS.Public.WindowsXp General to
get help. This is a .Net programmer's NG concerning .Net programming
languages.
