I used the win xp cd to re install win xp and then decided to wait to do
more research on installing.
I now have at boot up the option to run win xp set up and boot to win xp
How do I remove this set up option?

Hi Joe,

Start/run C:\boot.ini

Remove the section that refers to the setup from the [operating systems]
section.

Thanks I tried that but screwed it up.So I thought if I sent it to
recycle bin it would get replaced with a new one.Of course that wasn't
what happened.It wouldn't boot without a boot.ini.Foolish me.I forgot
the basics of OS booting 101.
Anyway I solved the problem with the recovery console and used the
bootcfg /rebuild command and option. That worked.thanks again.
