Problems with video feeds in Explorer 8.0

A few months ago I was prompted to download Internet Explorer 8.0, which I
did. I visit You Tube regularly and found that Explorer could not play the
video feeds. I tried all types of configuring in Internet Options, but none
seemed to work. I uninstalled version 8 and went back to version 7 and it's
not a problem. Now I'm constantly reminded to download version 8 and I
deselect it and say "close". I am asked if I want to be reminded about that
download again and I check the box. Now I'm still reminded every time it
wants to update Windows.

Does anybody know what the video fix for Version 8.0 is? If not, how can I
get Windows to stop prompting me to download a bogus version of their
Internet Explorer?

Since I'm having such problems, I've gone to Google Chrome for my default
browser for the time being. They don't seem to have the problems.

You will need to install Adobe Flash Player, Sun Java, and maybe Microsoft
Silverlight and Macromedia Shockwave player..

All easily found in a Bing or Google search..
