Problems with Synchronisation of Offline files

Hello,

we have problems with synchronisation of offline files. Our clients
sychronize at every logon and logoff process.

In the Grouppolicies we have done the following Settings:

- Synchronize all offline files at logon = Deactivated
- Synchronize all offline files al logoff = Deactivated
(this is translated from the german settings!)

Unfortunately, when we enter the setup of offline files the following
options are always set:

- On logon at the computer
- On logoff at the computer
(this is translated from the german settings!)

When we deactivate these settings and then enter the setup again both
options are active again. When we restart the computer then the
synchronization takes place at logon and logoff. It looks like that our
settings didn't take affect.

=> We couldn't persuade our clients not to synchronize.

Where is the problem located and how can we solve the problem?

Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,

Ulli

When you are talking about group policies are y<ou talking of local gropup
policies or domain policies?

Does the computer is on a domain or just participate in a workgroup?

Hello,

I talked about domain policies and the computer is in that domain.
When I have a look on the resultant set of policies I can see that the
policies not to synchronize are set.

This morning I have deletet all policy settings in the registry:

HKLM\Software\Policy
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policy
HKCU\Software\Policy
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policy

After that I have startet gpupdate /force and restartet my computer. After
logon the computer startet with synchronisation again :-(

Here are my policy settings from the RSoP (in german):

Alle Offlinedateien beim Anmelden synchronisieren => Deaktiviert
Alle Offlinedateien vor der Abmeldung synchronisieren => Deaktiviert

What can I do to solve the problem?
